Two Weeks In: Building, Refining, and Trusting the Process

Two weeks ago, I jumped headfirst into freelancing, determined to build something sustainable—something real. I knew success wouldn’t happen overnight, but every step, every adjustment, and every new insight has been shaping the path forward.

What have these past two weeks looked like? A constant balancing act of refinement, perseverance, and trusting the process.

Refining My Posting Approach – I started tracking impressions, profile views, and engagement to understand what resonates with potential clients. Small tweaks to my scheduling and messaging have already made an impact.

Juggling Life & Freelancing – Managing a household, keeping up with my kids’ ever-changing schedules, and running a micro homestead with new babies hatching means constant adjustments. But even in the midst of it all, I’ve found ways to carve out time—sometimes just a few focused hours—to build my freelancing business and stay consistent in my journey.

Building Systems to Stay on Track – Freelancing isn’t just about finding work; it’s about creating systems that keep everything flowing. My new tracking sheets ensure I don’t forget to check in on my growth, making sure I stay intentional with every step.

Refining My Fiverr Presence – Tweaking my gig descriptions, ensuring my skills align with what clients are looking for, and watching impressions grow—every small detail matters.

Engaging & Growing a Community – Freelancing isn’t just about the work; it’s about connections. I’ve been actively engaging with others, learning, sharing insights, and starting to build a following. Genuine conversations and value-driven interactions make a difference.

But beyond all of this, my ultimate goal is to be a free source of inspiration and guidance for others who decide to take the leap into freelancing. I know firsthand how daunting it can feel—how many voices tell you that you need expensive courses or training just to get started. I want to be proof that you don’t need to break the bank to learn and grow. You just need commitment, a willingness to refine, and trust in the journey.

And through it all, my faith has kept me steady. It reminds me that progress, even in small steps, matters—that this journey isn’t just about business but about purpose.

I wouldn’t be here without the support of my incredible husband, who has stood by me, encouraged me, and trusted this process just as much as I have. His belief in me, in this journey, has been a reminder that sometimes, the greatest success begins with the people who believe in you first.

For anyone out there just starting—don’t overthink it, just begin. Set up systems that help you track progress, refine as you go, and trust that the work will pay off.

Freelancing is a journey, not just a destination. And no one should have to walk it alone. I’m here not just to share what I’ve learned, but to cheer you on—to celebrate your wins, encourage you through challenges, and remind you that progress, even in small steps, matters.

If you're navigating this path, know that you've got someone in your corner. What’s been the biggest lesson in your own journey? Drop it in the comments—I’d love to hear about your progress and support you as you move forward!
